We loved this spot because the portion sizes are HUGE. We ordered two entrees and had enough leftovers for another meal for two! The pad see ew was good, although not the best that I've had. There was quite a bit of pepper seasoning on it, which I didn't care much for. The noodles were firm and not too saucy. We heard that the mussaman curry is good here and not often offered at Thai restaurants so we gave it a try. It was more on the tangy side but a great choice if you're a fan of peanuts. We ordered the curry with pork which came out tougher than expected, so I would recommend either chicken or beef for this dish. I definetly liked it more than the pad see ew. It also doesn't come with rice so we ordered a side dish of white rice The biggest downside to Dusita is the wait time and parking opportunities. We had to wait about 30 minutes on a weekday to be seated and the restaurant only has a paper and pen style waitlist. I would also recommend parking in the nearby residential area because the parking lot is tiny Tips: - We ordered the pad see ew mild but it was quite spicy in comparison to the the mussaman curry which was also ordered mild. So keep in mind that the spice levels are not consistent across dishes

I had been holding back on my Thai food cravings for about a week before I managed to make it out to this spot again. I've come by so many times since my last review and recommended Dusita's to multiple friends. This time we stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon to take advantage of the lunch specials. We got the papaya salad and mango sticky rice, both not part of the lunch specials menu, and the pad Thai which was a special. The lunch portions do seem a bit smaller than the dinner ones, and it's not my first time doing a lunch special. It might be better to order standard priced menu items during dinner for the best value. I'm absolutely in love with the papaya salad in medium spicy here, my mouth literally waters for it. It's so spicy that it hurts, but also fresh at the same time so it gets you coming back for another bite and then another. The pad Thai is always reliable, noodles are never gummy and flavor is always excellent. The mango sticky rice this time came with possibly the prime example of what a ripe mango should be, and the sticky rice was also warm and had good coconut flavor. I would order all three of these dishes again and would recommend this combination to get a well balanced meal for two. If you do stop by for lunch they give out a small plate of complimentary fried wonton wrappers in sweet and sour sauce. The pad Thai also comes with two veggie egg rolls and sweet and sour sauce, but I can't remember if that's only for lunch or how it comes standard. Overall, looking forward to getting my next papaya salad fix here again soon!

In Santa Clara for business and we ended up at this Thai restaurant as the colleague I was traveling with had been here before. When we pulled up, my first reaction was, "is this place even open?" Windows were papered and it just looked closed. The colleague assured me it was open and we proceeded to the front door. I agree with some other reviewers that the parking sucks. Tiny lot with tiny parking spaces. It is likely you could get stuck in the lot and not be able to get out. Ha! Inside it looked a bit rough, but not dirty just a bit run down. Didn't scare me, but just saying... There were some interesting bits of Thai art and figurines around the restaurant. We were seated immediately, as with other times we ate this week, we were pretty early around 5pm. By the time we left, the place was pretty full, so that was a good sign that we chose a good place. Our experience before the place was full and before we left was the real reason we knew we had picked the right place. Along with water, our server gave us menus that were the tiniest print I have ever seen before. There were many choices, so I guess they only wanted to use one sheet of paper to include everything. I know I'm 60 y/o, but my eyesight is pretty good with my corrective lenses. That did not help as I had to take pictures of the menu and zoom in to read each part. I know I wanted some Tom Yum soup, especially chicken. As I looked over the menu, I saw some tofu in spring roll wrappers and then fried, along with a sweet / sour sauce. Sounded good, so I ordered that immediately. I decided on the Chicken Tom Yum soup and got a large since it would be my main dish. I did not realize that the large was for 3 to 4 people having small bowls as part of the appetizer part of the meal. The tofu dish arrived and I was confused. It was just large chunks of fried tofu and then some sauce. I pulled out the microscopically printed menu and realized that I had made up the appetizer. There was no such thing as the spring roll wrapped tofu on the menu. My bad. The soup arrived along with the colleague's chicken curry and brown rice. My soup had a burning center that kept the soup hot and that was kind of cool. I scooped out some soup and it was piping hot so I waited for it to mellow out a bit before I began eating. It was very tasty and the chicken and other ingredients were delicious. I ended up cutting up the tofu and putting it into my soup. That was a great add and the whole thing was good. I ate what I could and then brought the remaining, mostly broth, back to the hotel with me. Later, I was hungry again and the, warmed in the microwave, broth was a perfect snack. The colleague's curry and rice were very nice and since I had a taste of the curry sauce, I can concur. Very good all around including the service. Eat some good Thai food! Go. Eat Well. HAVE FUN!!!

This place is popular! 7:30 pm on a Friday night and there was about a 20-30 minute wait, not too bad. All staff looked busy and all tables were full. It took a bit for them to take our order but food came out fast afterwards. We started with their roti penang, the curry was delicious and as I like it but I wasn't crazy about the roti. They serve it in crispy triangles and i prefer when it has some crispness on the outside but is otherwise soft. I think they swapped our spice levels for a couple of dishes, not a huge deal though. Pad See Ew was good, catfish was great, penang curry was okay! Overall a very solid place that I'd come back to.

Parking in this lot is absolutely terrible, so I highly recommend that parking should be done in the nearby residential area. The servers were friendly and they did pay attention to refilling our water when it was low, and the restaurant atmosphere is nice for families and conversational groups. Although the food is good, I think the portions are quite lacking. I have a feeling that eating alone, I would have to order 2 entrees in order for me to be full. Averaging out at $20 for each meat dish, there were only a few pieces of meat, and although taste was decent, the amount was underwhelming. Of everything, the chicken run appetizer seems to be the most worth it in terms of taste and price, but I'd say be careful of how to order here if your party is hungry. The pad see ew also came with a decent amount, but meat dishes seemed like they skimped on the meat.

Heard a lot of good things about this place so finally tried it! I think the food was overall okay. Nothing super special, but will share more on what I got below. Our waitress was very friendly and recommended the pad see ew for all future restaurant goers out there! She cautioned us that their levels of spice were graded a little higher than normal, but my friends and I are have medium to high spice tolerances, so it wasn't too bad. We did get mild on most things but wished we got medium or hot instead. The place itself was just a normal restaurant. Nothing about the furniture or decor were big stand outs. The parking lot is really small so be aware that you'll most likely need to find street parking. - panang basa: 3.5/5 curry flavor was good but the fish and veggies were nothing extraordinary - papaya salad: 4/5 good but small, probably should've ordered two - mussaman curry with beef: 4/5 flavor was good! - bbq pork 4/5 portion was a little small but nice flavor - pad see ew with chicken: 5/5 wow the portions were huge! we saw other noodle dishes and the house fried rice pass by and the plates are massive - four musketeers: 3/5 felt like stir fry, nothing too special - chicken run: 5/5 probably our table's favorite dish - pineapple fried rice: 3.5/5 flavor was good and presented in tin foil, but the bottom was jutted up with tin foil, so we didn't get as much as we thought we would

The lunch specials here are unbeatable! Very reasonably priced and perfectly portioned. We got the red curry and pad see ew which both tasted good. It's a nice quaint and cozy restaurant. Parking is difficult to find so you'll have to park in the side street

This place is a hole in the wall spot thats always bustling because of how good it is. Certainly come early or you'll be waiting in line / the waitlist which can be a while. The food does come out quickly though. I got the Pad Thai with Tofu and I'm sensitive to fish sauce because I don't eat meat. This has got to be the most delicious and vegetarian friendly pad thai I've ever had. It is so flavorful and fresh with tons of vegetables and is so delicious. Would highly highly recommend you come to Dusita's. It's one of those rare spots where the service is good, the ambiance is good, and the food is simply excellent with so many different options.

Very hole-in-the-wall location that is easy to overlook, but don't let appearances deceive you! This place serves amazing Thai fare in an authentic interior setting. Came here with a group of around 8 on Thursday for lunch. I ordered the chicken satay, Pad Thai medium spice with chicken, and mango sticky rice. Ended up taking half of each as leftovers, but I did not regret the experience. The food was worth every bite. The medium spice was SPICY, though. I almost got a Thai tea halfway through, but decided to stick it out. It wasn't the kind of spice that gets in the way of enjoying your dish and blocks out the other aromatics/flavors in the dish, so I was happy about that. Server was quite busy, but she could tell that when I flagged her down I needed my water to be topped up. Next time I'm getting mild!! Parking can be a little difficult, but there's a residential area next to the parking lot and an adjacent parking lot so you should not have any issues even if the one in front of the restaurant is filled.
